Recommended For Dabigatran Etexilate is used for stroke prevention, heart attack, deep vein thrombosis and pulmonary embolism. It prevents the formation of blood clots in the legs, lungs, brain or heart.
Dosage Mostly, Dabigatran Etexilate is suggested to be taken twice daily at the same time each day. The two doses should be taken at a gap of about 12 hours. If you miss a dose of Dabigatran Etexilate then take it as soon as possible up to 6 hours prior to the next scheduled dose. However, skip the missed dose if your next dose is less than 6 hours away. Never take two doses of Dabigatran Etexilate at the same time.
